Fair review 2013

Looking back at the trade fair in 2013

A positive feedback whets the appetite for more - number of visitors exceeded the expectations

3300 visitors from more than 30 different countries, that's the great stock we can take from both trade fair and congress days in Cologne.

The completely positive further development has already been suggested in advance with the growth of the exhibition space by more than 30 percent - the number of exhibitors went up by 20 percent, 10 percent of which came from abroad.

The number of visitors - at the trade fair itself, at the parallel congress or at the individual seminars - exceeded the organizers' expectations. For the congress, for the first time interpreted into the English language, 236 tickets were sold on Friday and 271 tickets on Saturday. "These figures show on the one hand how important professional interchange and further education is. On the other hand it shows clearly the excellence of the speakers," Wolfgang Best, who as editor-in-chief of the specialized journal "Orthopädieschuhtechnik", was responsible together with Frank Schievink from the Central Association Orthopaedic Shoe Technology for the conceptual design of the congress, happily states.

Cologne in words - voices from exhibitors & visitors

Kaupp »I can only say: Keep on like that! That was fun. Finally a trade fair where everything worked out! Organization, visitors, interests, congress and exhibitors: everything somehow perfect... This way it is fun to be an exhibitor!«
Reiner Kaupp, Management Ruckgaber

»We can all be extremely contented. I'm not exaggerating: This trade fair has established itself firmly after only 2 runs. If we continue like that the Cologne OST-trade fair, world-wide key trade fair for orthopaedic shoe technology, can become the indispensible meeting point of all suppliers from the industry and the leather trade and of course also of orthopaedic shoe technicians.

We were busy for 2 full days without interruption and had customers and future clients from more than 20 countries at our stand.«

Frank-Michael Emrich, Marketing Manager TOPY

»We had a great trade fair - we never would have expected so many visitors. The hall looked too small at first sight and our stand was located in the last row - but the result exceeded all our expectations. Our stand was very well visited - the "last" row proved to be NO disadvantage.«
Christoph Bastian, Matthias Hartmann Orthopädie und Sport GmbH

»Hardly ever before did I fall into my bed so completely exhausted and absolutely happy. The trade fair was super-exhausting and 100% successful. Our goal for the trade fair was totally surpassed. We are still busy with the wrap-up. I would like to thank all the organizers and mainly the staff behind the scenes for their perfect performance. This has yet to be topped. We are already looking forward to 2015 and our then bigger stand.«

Konstantin Rudolph, Key-Account Manager Sislak Design Werbeagentur GmbH

»The fair is very good, and I have seen many new things. We are really thinking to come back the next time.«
Rob Verwaard, President of Board at NVOS-Orthobanda

»Its great to be here in Germany, to see all the latest technology. We don´t get to see this so quickly in North-America. So we always enjoy coming to Germany, to see whats coming and whats new.«
Jonathan Strauss, Executive Director at Pedorthic Association of Canada

150 exhibitors from all over the world will present their innovations from pedorthics. About 4,000 visitors are expected.

These exhibitors will be present:
